CHOTEAU, Mont. — The Montana Secretary of State’s Office presented at the 2022 Montana Association of Clerks & Recorders and Election Administrators (MACR) Convention this week.
Elections and Voter Services Manager Stuart Fuller discussed security best practices, including cybersecurity training and election security assessments. He also provided continuing education resources that state and local election officials may utilize.
Fuller also spoke about election procedure, including the Postelection Audit Act and preparation for the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 8.
Business Analyst Kyler Baker provided an update on the state’s future election management system, electMT. Twelve counties conducted successful parallel tests with electMT and the state’s current system, Montana Votes, during the June Primary Election. Another parallel test will be conducted during November’s General Election.
The Secretary of State Office’s Election Division was represented by Stuart Fuller, Kyler Baker, Mark Carpenter, Ray Dagnall, Conner Gagnon, and Josh Klein.
