HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Secretary of State’s Election Division concluded its second of five statewide training sessions on Thursday in preparation for the launch of the state’s future election management system, electMT.
Nearly 30 election workers attended the three-day training, which saw members of the Elections Division present key features and processes that election administrators will utilize in the more modern, secure electMT system.
The new system will allow Montana’s election administrators to register new eligible voters, update current voters’ registration and perform functions related to Montana elections.
This week’s training session was led by the Secretary of State Office’s Elections and Voter Services Manager Stuart Fuller; Elections Specialists Kyler Baker and Conner Gagnon; and Business Analyst Lisa Schlosser.
“It was great to see the excitement on the faces of the election administrators that will be using the system on a daily basis,” said Baker, who helped lead the training sessions. “Multiple election administrators commented on how user-friendly and modern electMT is, and they’re excited to see the system go live.”
The Elections Division will continue its election management system trainings in Kalispell, Great Falls and Missoula.
