HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Secretary of State’s Office is joining thousands of organizations across the nation in recognizing October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Now in its 18th year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity across our nation, according to the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
CISA and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) promote the theme, “Do your part. #BeCyberSmart.” According to CISA.gov, the organizations will focus on the following areas during Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021:
- Week of October 4 (Week 1): Be Cyber Smart.
- Week of October 11 (Week 2): Phight the Phish!
- Week of October 18 (Week 3): Explore. Experience. Share. – Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week
- Week of October 25 (Week 4): Cybersecurity First
