HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen and the Montana Elections Team continue to prepare for November’s 2024 General Election. This week, state and local election officials joined colleagues nationwide in recognizing National Poll Worker Recruitment Day.
On Friday, Secretary Jacobsen launched a new poll worker recruitment tool for Montana counties.
“We’ve heard from county election offices across the state about their need for additional poll workers and election judges. These friends, neighbors, and family members play a crucial role in our Montana elections,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “The Montana Elections Team, consisting of our state and local election officials, is looking for dedicated Montanans interested in serving your community during the upcoming election.”
“Those interested in becoming poll workers can visit our voter resources website, VoteMT.gov, and select the ‘Election Judges/Poll Workers‘ link under the ‘resources’ tab,” continued Secretary Jacobsen. “They can also access our poll worker recruitment tool online (https://votemt.gov/poll-worker-application/), fill out the required information, and it will be sent directly to your county election office.”
Earlier this week, Secretary Jacobsen unveiled the latest video in the Montana Election Education Video Series, highlighting the roles and responsibilities of poll workers and election judges and the steps to apply.
“It’s exciting to work on the front lines during an election, supporting our fellow Montana voters as they shape the future of our state and nation,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “We’re grateful for the thousands of Montanans who step up to serve their communities.”
