HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen thanked voters and election officials for a successful 2024 Primary Election Day.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. across the state for Montana’s historic Primary Election, with thousands of voters casting their ballots for local, state, and federal offices. Polling places closed at 8 p.m. as county election officials began reporting results online.
“Thank you to every single voter who cast a ballot in this election. Your voices determine the representation of our great state,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “To the thousands of election officials and volunteers who ensured a great voting experience for our Montana voters, we appreciate you. Finally, congratulations to all candidates for stepping up to represent your community and state.”
County election offices will continue to provide updated election results throughout the evening. As a reminder, all results are unofficial until canvassed at a later date. Updated election results are available at electionresults.mt.gov.
