HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is proud and excited to release the Montana Election Education Video Series. This series of nearly 40 engaging, animated videos explains the election process in Montana, from voter registration, completing and submitting a ballot, and the election processes and procedures in place for election officials to maintain safe and secure elections.
“Montanans routinely participate in our electoral process, casting their votes and deciding the future of our state and nation, but fully understanding how our elections are conducted is an important piece of that process,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “We’re excited to share these compelling election education videos with current and future voters.”
“The valuable information in each video will ensure voters understand the thorough processes election officials follow to conduct elections Montanans can be proud of,” Secretary Jacobsen continued. “This video series will also provide voters with the information they need to become registered, vote, and have their voices heard at the polls.”
The videos are categorized into multiple series to emphasize the electoral process in Montana. They highlight voter registration, registration management, absentee voting, an overview of election day, tabulation, and election policies and procedures. The videos range from one to three minutes, keeping viewers engaged as they learn about each process.
“This video series is an excellent resource for Montana voters. Presented in a new and modernized way, these videos answer many of the commonly asked questions, including how to register to vote or how counties tabulate votes for an election,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Montana conducts safe, secure, transparent, and accessible elections, and the Montana Elections Team, consisting of state and local election officials, is proud to serve the 750,000 registered voters in Montana.”
“As the June 4th primary quickly approaches, the Montana Elections Team reminds voters to utilize the VoteMT.gov website to confirm their registration information is accurate, find their sample ballot and polling place, and use these videos as a resource to better understand the process,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Thanks for voting, Montana!”
The Montana Election Education Video Series, created in collaboration with IDEEUH Media, is available on the Secretary of State’s VoteMT.gov website and Secretary Jacobsen’s social media channels, such as YouTube and Facebook.
