LINCOLN, Mont. – Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen visited Lincoln High School on Thursday morning, delivering 70 United States and Montana Constitutions to students.
“Thursday morning was another wonderful opportunity to meet with students in Montana to discuss the importance of our Constitutions,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Thank you to the students and staff at Lincoln High School for allowing me the honor of visiting.”
Secretary Jacobsen met with teacher Ryan Hollinger and students, answering questions about the Constitutions and responsibilities of the Secretary of State. Students also read the Preamble of both Constitutions.
“It’s gratifying to know that our Montana students are engaged in learning about the Constitution, the history behind it and its implementation to this day,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Thank you to Mr. Hollinger for educating our youth about our nation’s and state’s government.”
The Office of the Secretary of State has delivered more than 1,000 Constitutions to students across Montana, while thousands more have been mailed as part of Secretary Jacobsen’s campaign promise to ensure students receive a United States and Montana Constitution.
