HELENA, Mont. — Second grade students from Smith Elementary recently visited the Montana State Capitol and met with Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen.
Secretary Jacobsen welcomed the students to the State Capitol and joined staff in explaining the responsibilities of the Secretary of State’s Office. While explaining the role of the Business Services Division in assisting businesses with their registrations, students told Secretary Jacobsen of their future business ideas.
“What a great visit with the second graders from Smith Elementary,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Our staff was delighted to meet future bakers, engineers, trampoline park owners, candy and chocolate connoisseurs, and perhaps the future Secretary of State or President of the United States.”
“Thank you Mrs. Doubek, Mrs. Thennis, and Smith Elementary students for visiting our office,” continued Secretary Jacobsen.
Students also met with Governor Greg Gianforte and toured the State Capitol building.
