HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen was honored to visit with members of the Boy Scouts and Montana 4-H at the Montana State Capitol this week.
Secretary Jacobsen met with the Boy Scouts, who were joined by former Montana Senator Doug Kary, on Monday at the Secretary of State’s Office. On Tuesday, Secretary Jacobsen visited with 4-H members from across Montana in the Governor’s Reception Room. Governor Greg Gianforte previously spoke with the 4-H members on Tuesday.
“It was an honor and delight to meet and visit with members of the Boy Scouts and 4-H at our beautiful State Capitol,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Both groups had bright, young minds interested in how our government operates, and I was proud to share the successes and responsibilities of our office.”
Members from each group were invited to ask Secretary Jacobsen questions ranging from how she wound up in office to what her favorite moments as secretary have been. Others inquired about Montana’s electoral process and the Secretary of State’s US Constitution Contest.
“Both the Boy Scouts and the 4-H members had excellent questions,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “I was pleased to see their knowledge of our government, the Secretary of State’s Office, and even our civics website and contest.
“I would like to thank both the Boy Scouts and Montana 4-H for the honor of meeting with them and answering their questions.”
