HELENA, Mont. — This week, Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen unveiled the new 2024 Primary Election Absentee Counts webpage. This new-look report will provide Montana voters with valuable information about absentee counts during the primary election, doing so with a more interactive and user-friendly approach.
The report offers county-by-county information on the number of absentee ballots sent and received. The website now includes a “heat map” that provides in-depth information such as the number of absentee ballots sent by and returned to each county, which counties have the highest percentage of ballots returned, and the totals across the state. The report will be updated daily to keep Montana voters in the know.
“I am extremely excited to share this more modern absentee ballot count webpage with the people of Montana,” said Secretary Jacobsen. This report will provide Montanans and the media with absentee ballot information in a manner never seen before. It will allow Montana voters to view how their county compares to others in the state.”

“We’re proud to continue the trend of updating our platforms to provide Montanans with meaningful voting information. This state-of-the-art report will allow us to keep voters informed in a simple and straightforward manner,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Thanks for voting, Montana.”
