HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is reminding businesses that the deadline to file annual reports is Monday, April 15. Secretary Jacobsen waived the annual report filing fee this year, resulting in millions of dollars in savings for Montana businesses.
All limited liability companies (LLCs) and corporations, both for-profit and non-profit, must file annual reports in Montana to keep their registration up to date and confirm that they are an active business. Businesses can easily complete their annual report by using the Secretary of State’s online filing portal at https://biz.sosmt.gov.
To date, more than 75 percent of Montana LLCs and corporations have filed their annual report.
“The Secretary of State’s Office is a proud partner of the Montana business community,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “We’ve made it easier to do business by offering 24/7 filings through our online filing portal, we’ve cut registration fees in half and waived this year’s annual report filing fee, and we’re available to personally assist our Montana businesses throughout their journey.”
“Thank you for doing business in Montana,” Secretary Jacobsen added.
