HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen joins election officials across the state and nation in celebrating National Voter Registration Month (NVRM) in September. NVRM was established in 2002 to highlight the importance of voter registration and participation.
“Montana’s 2024 General Election is quickly approaching, and we want to ensure all eligible Montanans are vote ready,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Exercising our right to vote is an essential civic duty, and we’re honored to provide the information and resources to assist Montanans so they may participate in our electoral process.”
The Montana Elections Team, consisting of election officials from the Secretary of State’s Office and each of the state’s 56 counties, encourages eligible Montanans to prepare for Montana’s 2024 General Election. Montanans can find numerous voter resources on the Secretary’s VoteMT.gov website, including:
- Confirm voter registration information, including name, address, and status
- Access Montana’s voter registration application
- Learn how to register to vote and how to update, cancel, or reactivate voter registration
- Contact the Montana Elections Team, including county election administrators
- Watch Montana’s Election Education Video Series
- Sign up to serve as a poll worker
Election officials nationwide are participating in the #TrustedInfo2024 campaign to direct voters to trusted resources for election-related material. Voters in Montana can find trusted information regarding voter registration and voting by visiting websites and social media from the Secretary of State’s Office and local county election offices.
The Montana Elections Team will also celebrate National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) on Tuesday, September 17.
“Montana’s 2024 General Election ballot has been certified and Election Day will soon be upon us,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “Get vote ready today and join the hundreds of thousands of Montanans who will decide our future this fall. Thanks for voting, Montana.”
