HELENA, Mont. — More than 50,000 businesses have filed their annual report with the Montana Secretary of State’s Office entering the week of February 7, 2022.
In the 38 days since annual report season began on January 1, nearly one-quarter of annual reports have been filed with the Business Services Division of the Secretary of State’s Office. Annual reports are due on April 15, 2022.
All limited liability companies (LLCs) and corporations (profit and nonprofit) must file annual reports to keep their registration up to date and confirm they are still an active business in Montana. Businesses can easily file their annual report through the Secretary of State’s Online Filing Portal at biz.sosmt.gov.
“The Secretary of State’s Office is proud to be a partner to businesses,” said Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen. “We make it easy for Montana businesses by offering 24/7 filing through our online filing portal, and we’re available to help through any step in their business journey.”
If businesses have questions, or need assistance filing, they may contact the Business Services Division at (406) 444-3665 or by emailing sosbusiness@mt.gov.
