HELENA, Mont. — In accordance with the provisions of 13-12-201, Montana Code Annotated, Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen has certified to county election administrators the name and designation of candidates who filed with the Secretary of State’s Office and are entitled to appear on the November General Election ballot. Secretary Jacobsen also certified two ballot issues which will also be presented to voters statewide this fall.
Thursday also marked the deadline for election administrators to certify local candidates and local ballot issues.
Last week, the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices notified Secretary Jacobsen of any candidates who did not comply with the provisions of Title 13, Chapter 37, MCA, therefore disqualifying such candidates from appearing on the ballot.
Nominated candidates can be found on the 2022 candidate filing list.
“Tuesday, November 8 is quickly approaching,” Secretary Jacobsen said of the upcoming General Election date, “and candidates statewide remain busy this election season. Congratulations to all of the candidates who will appear on the ballot this fall, and best of luck on Election Day.”
