HELENA, Mont. — Four Montana cities appeared on WalletHub’s “2022 Best & Worst Small Cities to Start a Business” list this week. Bozeman, Missoula, Helena, and Great Falls were all listed in the article, and all four Montana cities were ranked in the top 318.
According to WalletHub, 1,334 cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 across the country were compared using “three key dimensions using 18 relevant metrics”: business environment, access to resources, and business costs.
Bozeman landed at No. 3 on the organization’s list, Missoula was listed at No. 13, Helena was No. 43 and Great Falls ranked No. 318.
Bozeman was also tied for No. 1 in most startups per capita, according to WalletHub.
Utah boasted the top two cities on the list — Washington and St. George, respectively — while also receiving five of the top 10 spots.
