HELENA, Mont. – On Tuesday, the Board of State Canvassers completed the State Canvass for the 2022 Primary Election.
Representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, Office of Public Instruction, and State Auditor’s Office declared nominated the candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast during the June 7th Primary Election.
“Today is the formal, official certification process for Montana’s June 7th Primary Election,” said Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen. “This State Canvass, along with Montana’s Postelection Audit and County Canvass procedures, plays a vital role in following Montana election law, providing transparency and validation to voting.”
On August 25th, Secretary Jacobsen will certify for the General Election ballot the names and designations of statewide and state district candidates, along with statewide ballot issues. County election administrators will also certify the names of local candidates and local ballot issues.
